- Association for Glycogen Storage Disease (USA) provides basic information about the glycogen storage diseases.
- The Association for Glycogen Storage Disease (UK) helps people affected by GSD, who have an inherited defect in one of the enzymes responsible for forming or releasing glycogen as it is needed by the body during exercise and/or between meals.
- The Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes is a world-class clinical and research center in Denver, Colorado.
- Brave Kids provides support and resources for children with chronic, life-threatening illnesses or disabilities.
- Diabetes UK offers support to people with diabetes in the UK.
- Canadian Diabetes Association offers support to people with diabetes in Canada.
- Camps for Children with Diabetes includes an extensive list of summer camps for kids with diabetes.
- The Children's Diabetes Foundation supports the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes.
- Children's Transport for Life, Mercey Medical Airlift, and National Patient Air Transportation Helpline work to provide free transportation to children who need access to medical research centers and disease-specific treatment programs.
- Diabetes insipidus is unrelated to diabetes mellitus. (There is a rare syndrome in which both disorders occur, called Wolfram Syndrome or DIDMOAD.) Children with diabetes insipidus and their families can turn to the following organizations for assistance:

- The best resource on "Diabetes in Hispanic Americans" is Chapter 32 (287 KB PDF file) of that name in the second edition of Diabetes in America by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease (NIDDK) of
the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. Tip: Since
this server is usually very busy and slow during business hours, it's best

- The Gray Ribbon Campaign is designed to heighten awareness of the need to find a cure for diabetes.
- The cost of caring for diabetes can be expensive if you don't have insurance. Many companies have programs to help those who have trouble paying for their medical care. The Indigent Prescription Program web site includes information about programs at over 40 companies.
- Insulin-for-Life helps provide insulin to those in need in the developing world.
- Insure Kids Now!, by the US Department of Health & Human Services, is a national campaign to link the nation's 10 million uninsured children--from birth to age 18--to free and low-cost health insurance.
- The mission of the Iron Overload Diseases Association, Inc. is to lead the search for millions of Americans and other nationals who have undiagnosed iron overload, including hemochromatosis (a rare disorder that can cause diabetes).
- The Joslin Diabetes Center is dedicated to diabetes treatment, research and education. Their web site features research news, lifestyle and nutrition information, discussion groups and a directory of nationwide affiliates.
- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) funds research related to type 1 diabetes.

- Parents of children with nesidioblastosis can visit the Persistent Hyperinsulinemic Hypoglycemia of Infancy (PHHI) web site for information and support. PHHI is also known as familial hyperinsulinism (HI) or nesidioblastosis.
