Rufus bear arrived this afternoon. We are so excited to have him for a visit. MaryRose and Donald tore into the box to free him. What a great time for a visit, we have lots to do this week. Donald couldn't wait to show visiting Rufus (we call him Rufus' cousin Rufus) to his own Rufus. Our Rufus and Donald decided to let "cousin Rufus" try Rufus' pump while he is visiting. So, Donald and Mommy gave Cousin Rufus a set change, and all went well. Time for bed everyone.

We had a busy day. After school for 3 hours, we had some raffle baskets to pick up. Saturday and Sunday is our big event. We do an American Girl Doll event to benefit the American Diabetes Association. So, lots of raffles means lots of money. Tonight we started the set up at the firehouse. While Mom and Dad were hard at work, Donald and MaryRose took Rufus and Cousin Rufus around to show them the firetrucks that Daddy drives.

"We were busy all day Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, I went to my friend, Shannon's (she has diabetes, too). We played all day Sunday, and I went to the doll show with Rufus and Rufus and got to introduce them to all the people at the show." (as dictated by Donald)

We have had such a good time with Cousin Rufus it's going to be difficult to say goodbye.(Donald really doesnt want to give hime up.) We received our Rufus bear when Donald was diagnosed at 26 months old, and he has been a big part of our family. He has been through the shots, the pokes and even the set changes. We love Rufus and truly enjoyed the opportunity to share in the "cousin Rufus" experience. Bye-bye, cousin Rufus. It's off to the Fambrough Family in Georgia. It's been great. Hugs to all!
