Rufus arrived a couple of days ago! We are thrilled to have him. He came to soccer practice with us last night, but had to stay in the car because it was too cold. I checked my blood sugar and it was right on - 117. Rufus was feeling a little low, so we checked him and he and I both got to have a juice.

I had a soccer game today and brought Rufus along to show my teammates. They all thought Rufus was really neat. We lost our game but had fun playing anyway.

Today, we had parent teacher conferences at school. Rufus waited with me at my grandma's house while my mom went to meet with the teacher. My grandma and I made an Easter cake and I shared my piece with Rufus. I love to bake!

Today we dyed Easter eggs - Rufus and I experimented with lots of different colors. Some turned out great and some looked really bad, but it was so fun. I'd love to dye eggs every week if I could.

Tomorrow is Easter! I can't wait. I'm going to leave a carrot out for the Easter Bunny. I'm also going to leave Rufus in the living room overnight to see if he sees the Easter Bunny. One of these days I'm going to catch that bunny!

Yesterday was Easter and we had a great day! We went to my grandmas' for Easter dinner. My dad and I played football with my cousins. I brought Rufus and my two younger cousins wanted to have him. I think they might be jealous that they don't have diabetes. I had a really high blood sugar today - 490! I gave a bolus on my pump but it didn't bring my blood sugar down much, so my mom said it was time to change my set. I love not having to do shots anymore. I got the pump in October and it's great! Well, time for bed now - we've had a busy couple of days and I can tell Rufus is tired.

This morning, we woke up and my kitty Riley was snuggled up with Rufus. She loves stuffed animals. My mom said she had to check my and Rufus' blood sugar in the middle of the night and we were both 58. She said she woke both of us up and gave us juice, but neither one of us remembers. I think my mom is tricking me! I took Rufus to school yesterday for show and share. He was able to stay with me for the whole day. I wish he could stay with us forever, but my mom said he has to go on to the next family pretty soon. Rufus got to go to swimming lessons with me yesterday. He couldn't come into the water, though. He had to stay with Mom and Dad in the viewing area.

I guess today is the day that we have to get Rufus ready for his next journey. I've had so much fun with him. We dyed Easter eggs, went to a soccer game, had fun at both grandmas' houses, rode my bike and my scooter, planted carrots, radishes, and flowers, and went to swimming lessons. I forgot - we also went to a birthday party at my aunt's house for my cousin. We ate dinner there and had a campfire. Anyway - it's time for Rufus to go now. Thanks for coming to Montana, Rufus. You are welcome back here anytime!
