Children with Diabetes, a leader in diabetes education and support, receives $10,000 foundation charitable grant

Grant will support Friends for Life conferences for children, adults and families type 1 diabetes

West Chester, Oh August 28, 2018. Children with Diabetes announced that they are the recipient of a $10,000 charitable grant from the James B & Lois R Archer Charitable Foundation. This grant will further the mission of the annual Friends for Life conferences which support children, adults and families with Type 1 diabetes and are held throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Among the largest gatherings of people with type 1 diabetes, the conferences assemble world renown faculty to present on the latest technologies and treatments, self-management basics, research updates, caregiving and advocacy.

The James B. and Lois R. Archer Charitable Foundation provides grants to worthy non-profits, especially those who serve to educate children.

“We are honored to be a recipient of a grand from the James B & Lois R Archer Charitable Foundation,“ said Jeff Hitchcock, founder and President of Children with Diabetes. “Our Friends for Life conferences were the first of its kind to build programs for children diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and their families so that they will develop life-long management skills, psycho-social coping mechanisms and access to the latest research and technologies for living with diabetes all of which are core to the Archer Charitable Foundation’s principles.”
