Class of 2003
Kyle will graduate from Bend Senior High in June. He will go to Whitworth College in Spokane to study music in the fall. He plays trombone and loves jazz. He was diagnosed with diabetes December 14, 1995 and has been using an insulin pump since June 2000. He went to Rome for two weeks with an exchange program through his high school; the kids our kids stayed with in Rome will be coming here this month. Kyle also throws javelin and has attended the Chris Dudley Basketball Camp for Youth with Diabetes every year since it began. Since he's 18 this year, he is too old to attend as a camper and has to wait a year before he can become a counselor at the camp. Kyle is also in his third year as a leader in the STARS (Students Today Aren't Ready for Sex) program, presenting abstinence based decision making and assertiveness skills to 6th graders.
