Class of 2003
Jill has had diabetes since age 11. She has done really well, and went on a pump in October of 1999. High school was full of fun and challenge and all the usual stuff, but now it's time to start college next fall. She intends to study preschool education and child psychology. She loves little children and sports like softball.
Call it partly luck, but she hasn't ever spent a day in the hospital and is healthy as can be. Diabetes is just too expensive and such a terrible nuisance to live with though. Hopefully a cure will come before she has children of her own!
