Hello, my name is Drevina, I'm now 14 years old and live in Jakarta, Indonesia.
I was diagnosed with diabetes about a couple months ago right after I was getting home from the vacation on August. I was very tired and felt like no bones in my body, so I asked my parent to check me up. My fear was becoming true to my life. My blood sugar was 471 mg/dl. It was nothing but I felt guilty. So far, I have eaten so much food with or without sugar without controlling it.
But now, I feel better, even if I'm still new with this disease, but I'm surely sure that no matter who you are, you are strong enough to face the truth. Even we are all stronger than we ever thought.
Now I get just one shot a day with Lantus insulin Glargine (18 ml). Just thank to God because of His grace and kindness, I feel free now. I can be myself and doing all things with smile.
For you all who has diagnosed with diabetes too, just keep going and believe that you are bigger than the disease so you can face it. Keep controlling what you eat and do check your blood sugar regularly and do some exercise minimally 30 minutes a day--4 days a week.
I wait for your share at or just directly go to my Facebook (search for my email address).
