My name is Olivia. I am 10 years old. I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in January 2007.
It was very scary in the beginning. The worst part was having my blood drawn. I was giving my own injections after the first week. Having a good attitude really helps.
My school allowed me to do a fund raiser that raised $1800.00 for diabetes research. My cousin even has a diabetic cat!
Hopefully I can go on the pump soon. I am looking for a girl my age who would like to be my pen pal. Write soon!
