Back to Kids' Voices Erin

Hi. My name is Erin. I'm 15 and was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 13.

Although having diabetes can be difficult, I know God has a purpose for me having it. I inform almost everyone I come in contact with about diabetes, how I am affected, and some of the fallacies about diabetes.

Sometimes I get down, but its good to know I'm not alone. I've never let diabetes get in my way of doing the things I enjoy, like softball, track, and cross country. Keeping things in perspective helps me when I get upset.
