Back to Kids' Voices Kristen

Hi my name is Kristen, and I've had diabetes for about 3 years now. I am 14 years old now. When I first found out that I had diabetes my mom and my dad noticed that I was drinking a lot, using the bathroom a lot, losing hair and losing weight. My parents didn't know what was wrong with me so she took me to a skin specialist and he said that I was just dehydrated. My parents didn't think he was right so they took me to get blood work, then I found out that I had diabetes. I have come a long way since then because now I got an Animas insulin pump which I love!
