Jane Jeffrie Seley, Diabetes Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator on the Diabetes Team at NewYork Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, took an interest in diabetes early in her career. Since then, she has explored and worked in all its areas, from education and managing patients to building innovative, new programs for the needs of individuals, the community and health care facilities.
Currently, Jane serves on the Program Publications Editorial Board of the American Diabetes Association, is a member of its New York City Leadership Council and chair of the annual NYC Diabetes Expo. She is a contributing editor and column coordinator of the Diabetes Under Control column in the American Journal of Nursing. Jane holds a Masters degree in gerontological nursing from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing and a Masters degree in public health from New York University. She is an active speaker and consultant whose commitment to diabetes education is second only to her dedication to delivering the best clinical care for people with diabetes.
