Craig McAlister Broadhurst, M.Ed, NCC, LPC, is a licensed professional Counselor with a specialty in chronic disease management. Her background includes positions in diabetes clinical settings, emergency mental health, child psychology, substance abuse rehabilitation, and patient advocacy.

From 1987-1996, Craig served as Clinical Specialist in Counseling for a division of The Diabetes Treatment Centers of America. Since 1997, Craig has become an author and speaker. Her writing is featured in NURSING 99 and she has presented with the Taking Control of Your Diabetes initiative. She also writes for online. The 2002 book Zen and The Art Of Diabetes Maintenance by Charles Creekmore and published by the ADA contains a chapter by Craig.

Craig maintains a private consulting practice and uses a coaching model rather than a therapy model in working with clients. She encourages those with chronic disease to take charge of their destinies as much as possible.
