From St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada:

My son has had type 1 diabetes for three years. He has recently started to have problems swallowing. He seems to choke on almost anything. He says it is getting caught in his throat. Is there any way this is related to his diabetes?

As far as I know, there is no relationship between type 1 diabetes and swallowing for someone who has had diabetes for such a short time.
