The Penlet® Plus, also called the ONE TOUCH® UltraSoftTM, is an easy to use lancing device that comes with new ONE TOUCH® meters and is also available separately. The Penlet® Plus is lightweight, ergonomically designed to fit easily ino anyone's hand, and accepts all standard size lancets. Cocking is simple and safe, and the trigger press requires only a light touch. The cocking slide also serves as a lancet ejection slide for hands-off lancet removal. Highly Recommended.

The Penlet® Plus is very easy to use. Older kids and adults can operate it with one hand, after the lancet is inserted. With seven depth settings, the Penlet Plus can be adjusted to match anyone's needs, including very young kids.

The only issue is related to ejecting BD Ultra Fine II Lancets. The BD Ultra Fine II Lancets work fine in the Penlet Plus, but the ejection mechanism does not work because of the hollow base of the lancet. Instead, you must remove BD Ultra Fine II Lancets by hand. This is typical of all other lancing devices, so it isn't a shortfall of the Penlet® Plus. The ejection mechanism works fine with all lancets that have a solid base.

The reviews of products are the opinion of children with DIABETES. Each product is reviewed with a single purpose: to determine if the product is suitable for use by children with type 1 diabetes, their parents, and, to a lesser degree, adults with type 1 diabetes. There are many products aimed at adults with type 2 diabetes that are not appropriate or suitable for children or adults with type 1 diabetes.
