Camp Needles in the Pines
July 14 - 19, 2002
Camp Needles in the Pines, located in Eastern North Carolina, is a one-week residential camp for children with diabetes ages 8-14, who reside in eastern North Carolina. Activities include swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, archery, rifle range, confidence course, arts and crafts.
The camp is located at Camp Bonner Boy Scout Camp at Blounts Creek, NC. The cost is US $150.00. Full and partial scholarships are available.
All diabetic medical supplies except for pumps are provided by the camp. The medical staff are volunteers from the East Carolina University - Brody School of Medicine, and the local hospitals and universities. Camp is from July 14 - 19, 2002. Application deadline is June 30, 2002.
