Back to Conferences Report from Friends for Life UK 2014

A near-perfect mix of great (not-too-hot) weather and the exceptional Beaumont House facilities welcomed the 6th Annual Friends For Life UK conference in Windsor, 15-17 August. Over 320 participants from across the UK – and a few from the US and Europe – gathered for a weekend of education, support, and just plain fun. Half were brand new to CWD and FFL, and some were very newly-diagnosed.

Rather than a lengthy play-by-play report as we've written in past years, we'd like to allow the photos from the weekend – the smiles and the tears and the hugs - to tell the Friends for Life UK story.

Many thanks to the incredible FFL faculty and staff for spending the weekend with us and sharing their expertise and vision. You each have a way of making the most difficult topics understandable.

To the Youth Programme staff – well done! You are amazing, and you absolutely light up the weekend for so many children.

To our wonderful sponsors: Dexcom, Animas, Roche, and Medtronic — thanks for continuing to believe in CWD and Friends for Life, and continuing to support us in bringing this life-changing event to families from around the UK.

To those families who contributed to FFL through large and small donations, quite simply and humbly, thank you.

Friends for Life.

Be sure to see the photo album from FFL UK 2014.
