Saturday was a very full day – family activities, discussions, and some great social events!

Jen Hanson, Lauren Lanning, and Michelle Rago outdid themselves this year in designing the Scavenger Hunt. With many pages of fun and interesting questions – and other pages of 'find where this is' – and other pages of 'take a photo of you with ...' – the Scavenger Hunt had families scrambling around the Coronado Springs property, looking for clues! It was very fun, and best of all, everyone was a winner! At 3:00, Tom Karlya announced the grand prize winners – and every team walked away with at least a few Disney Dollars in hand. Congratulations to all of the participants!

Jill Weissberg-Benchell provided an opportunity on Saturday morning for parents to gather for some closing conversation, to bring closure to some of the discussions and topics raised earlier in the week during the moms and dads groups. This discussion – which continued about an hour past its scheduled time - was much-needed and much- appreciated; thanks to all who participated.

Sports Central had one final day on Saturday, featuring Zumba with Jaime and Soccer Skills as the highlighted activities. Sports Central was quite busy right up until the doors closed at 3:00. Many thanks once again to the athletes who staffed SC for the entire week. They loved working with the children and adults alike, and their enthusiasm was contagious!

Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Goofy and Pluto joined FFL families in the Coronado K Ballroom on Saturday afternoon for an ice cream social and meet-n-greet. Everyone had an opportunity for photos, autographs, and hugs, and it was a really nice way to spend the afternoon (and the ice cream sundaes were delicious!).

Finally, Saturday evening ... the Teen Dinner Dance! The Tween Social! The set-up crews met around 4:00 to begin the process of decorating each of the ballrooms with sparkly, blinky, glowy things. Kudos to Belinda Peach, Carolyn Meredith, Betty Smith, and their teams of volunteers for making quick work of the set-up, and then for continuing until midnight with the business of chaperoning! The rooms were breath-taking, and the kids so enjoyed their very special social events. Many thanks as well to Donna and Bob Cope, Jeff Schmidt, and Bob Schmidt for watching over security on Saturday night – and throughout the entire conference. Job well done, and much appreciated.
